Family Engagement

Partnerships with parents, guardians, and families are vital to create social and environmental support for youth and reduce tobacco use in the community.

Family-School Partnerships

The Dual Capacity-Building Framework for Family-School Partnerships (Version 2) is designed to help schools and families work together to boost student achievement, wellness, and school improvement.

Unlike traditional family engagement that focuses mainly on parents, this framework builds skills and understanding for both staff and families. It fosters a shared vision, clarifies roles, and strengthens collaboration. By addressing challenges, applying best practices, and creating the right conditions, schools and families can form meaningful partnerships that drive lasting student success.
